He has worked on several major mining projects, including the Koniambo and Tiebaghi nickel mines in New Caledonia, as well as projects in Indonesia with WBN and PTVI, for clients such as Vale NC, SLN, KNS, PRNC and NMC.

His expertise includes the design of open pits, waste dumps, tailing storage and water facilities, and access roads. He also specializes in water management structures, hydrological and hydrogeological studies, and overall geotechnical project support. Ghassen is currently Chief Operating Officer at MECATER, overseeing operations and project delivery.
